Idris Hilliard Chooses A School

Scout.com East Coast recruiting expert Mike Sullivan profiles a player from New Jersey who made a college choice today ...

Idris Hilliard, a 6-foot-7 from the Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey, made a verbal commitment to St. Joe's, according to his AAU coach Galen Smith.

"He is a consummate student athlete," Smith said. "He's great pickup for St. Joe's. "

Hilliard had a solid summer playing for the New Jersey Elite. He competed hard and impressed many coaches playing for the Elite at the Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida."

Hilliard also seriously considered Rutgers too. "Has a lot of upside," Smith said. "The reasons are that he works very hard and looks like his game is improving each year."

Smith added it was a tough decision for Smith, who liked both coaching staffs a lot.
