New Jersey Swingman Has D-1 Interest East Coast recruiting expert Mike Sullivan has the story on a swingman from New Jersey ...

Rashon Dwight, a 6-foot-3 guard from Bloomfield Tech in Bloomfield, New Jersey, had a solid summer while playing for Galen Smith's New Jersey Elite program.

Dwight showed he can compete against some of the best players from across the country. Dwight participated at the Playaz Ball held at Basketball City in New York City in the middle of July. Rashon also competed with the New Jersey Elite (Orange) AAU program at the Super Showcase at Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Smith said he was very impressed with the job Rashon did during the summer for the New Jersey Elite. So it's no surprise to him that several division one programs are seriously looking at him right now.

"From what I know," Smith said. "Iona, Rider, and Marist are schools that really like him a lot. He is still open."

Dwight can certainly perform at a mid-level, division one program. He has the ability to score from anywhere on the court and always works hard at both ends of the court.
