Greedy Scorches Playaz Club At IS8 East Coast recruiting expert Mike Sullivan spent some of his day watching some terrific talent at IS8 ....

It was a name IS8 public announcer Pete Edwards called out quite a bit this afternoon. The name "Greedy" echoed several times from Edwards' booming voice.

Jamine Peterson, nicknamed "Greedy," scorched the Playaz Club of New Jersey (senior team) for 32 points in helping Real Scout win a 94-81 contest in South Jamaica, New York.

The game got off to a rough start for the Playaz. Penalized for being tardy for the afternoon contest, before the tipoff, the Playaz were saddled with an 8-0 deficit.

Real Scout jumped out to a 21-12 lead after the first eight minutes of play helped by those eight points. At the half, Real Scout claimed a 40-35 lead and a 66-62 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

But there were several times where the Playaz would make a challenge but rim-rocking dunks by Peterson and long-range bombs by Shaun Crawford damaged any comeback attempt by the New Jersey based AAU team.

Crawford hit for seven three-pointers. He delivered five of them in the third quarter to keep the Playaz from taking a fourth quarter lead. Crawford finished with 27 points.

Chris Smith had 21 points for the Playaz while Rashad Bishop had 22 points. Scoop Jardine had 12 points and a few dazzling assists while future Syracuse teammate Rich Jackson scored nine points.
