Long Island Forward Chooses Ivy League School

Reporter Brian Towey has an update on a forward from Long Island who has decided to play college basketball in the Ivy League ...

Jason Lieberman, a 6-foot-5, 200 pound senior forward from Roslyn High School in Roslyn, New York, on Long Island, recently made a verbal commitment to attend Princeton. Lieberman was something of a darkhorse coming out of the Long Island public school ranks, enhancing his stock with his play at the Five Star Camp and Eastern Invitational during the summer.

"I made the decision last Tuesday," said Lieberman. "I liked Princeton's reputation as a great basketball program, and the academics."

Jason had also received interest from Boston University, Columbia, and Lafayette.

Lieberman appears to have that Princeton skill set, with a strong shooting stroke, good passing skills, and a high IQ.

"The coaching staff liked my versatility," said Lieberman. "And the fact that I can play any position on the floor."
