New Jersey Hoopster Close To Decision

Scout.com's East Coast recruiting expert Mike Sullivan has the latest on a New Jersey hoopster who is close to a decision ...

In the midst of a big comeback, Rashon Dwight, a 6-foot-3 guard from Bloomfield Tech in Bloomfield, New Jersey, was solid in all aspects of the game of basketball. Dwight, simply put, does everything good on a basketball court. He has one goal in mind -- to win the basketball game.

Bloomfield Tech erased a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit to Bishop Loughlin to advance in the IS8 Fall playoffs. Dwight did a solid job in bringing the ball up against pressure, locating open teammates, and scoring when given the opportunity.

Rashon also competed with the New Jersey Elite (Orange) AAU program at the Super Showcase at Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

"I am down to Iona and Rider," Dwight said. "I have to talk to my family first before I make a decision."

It's likely a decision will be made soon. Dwight wanted a bit more time to speak to his close friends and family before he decided. A decision could come in the next 24 hours. "I should have one this week," he said.
