Xaverian High School Has Top Talent

Scout.com's East Coast recruiting expert Mike Sullivan takes a look at Xaverian High School's talent, in particular two players ...

The New York City Catholic League usually has plenty of talent and several high quality high school basketball teams each season. This year is no exception.

Xaverian High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. should field another solid team due to a couple of its forwards, Patrick Jackson and Reggie Davis (pictured).

Jackson, who was recently hobbled with an ankle injury, stated he is feeling better and is looking forward to the upcoming season. He is being recruited by such schools like St. John's, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Marquette, Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Miami of Florida.

A player the site has watched at IS8 recently is Reggie Davis. Reggie, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound swingman, is like most young high school players. He will need to elevate the consistency level.

He scored 12 points in a game last week and recently helped the Team Odom AAU team to a playoff victory.

Davis said he is open in his recruiting process. He stated he is a 2008 prospect and is hoping to improve several areas of his game. "My ballhandling, my shooting, and my defense," he said.

With Jackson and Davis on the Xaverian High School roster, it appears that the Brooklyn based team will be one of the better teams in the New York area.
