There's Plenty To Like About Rosen

Scout.com's East Coast recruiting expert Mike Sullivan weighs in on his thoughts about Zack Rosen ...

Now that the IS8 Fall season is over, the high school basketball season takes center stage. And there have been many players that have emerged since the summer as worth watching this winter.

One basketball player from New Jersey is on the list of making sure you have an opportunity to see him play -- Zack Rosen.

The former Colonia High School guard developed nicely over the summer and was very impressive at IS8. Rosen competed in the Fall IS8 League for the Gym Bad Boyz. He also played for The New Jersey Elite (Orange) AAU program under head coach Galen Smith this past summer. The Elite of New Jersey had a terrific summer and showed the program could compete against the top talent from across the country.

Rosen, a lefty shooting guard from St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, New Jersey, will certainly face the best teams this winter playing for Danny Hurley's program. Rosen displayed more confidence and aggressiveness when handling the basketball at IS8.

The area of decision-making will be a key for Rosen's future. If he continues to make strides in this department, he is going to make some division one head coach very happy with a commitment.

There has been area interest for a while -- St. Francis, Stony Brook, Rutgers, etc. But Iowa State and Virginia Tech have also been keenly aware of Rosen's game.

Rosen has a couple of seasons to continue the improvements in his game.
