High Profile Guard Visits St. John's For Game

The Red Storm has claimed its first two victims this season. Yesterday, a high-profile guard was in attendance watching St. John's advance to meet Maryland next Thursday at Madison Square Garden.

According to sources, Melquan Bolding, the very talented slick guard from New York State, watched the St. John's victory yesterday in Queens.

Bolding had previously stated he was trying to make a decision between Louisville and St. John's. Bolding had mentioned he wanted to visit both schools before making a decision. Melquan is a 2008 prospect.

The guard from Archbishop Stepinac in Westchester County impressed many also competing at times for the Shooting Stars in the IS8 Fall League. At 6-foot-4, Bolding utilized his frame in scoring inside the paint.

Could a decision come soon? Sources say Bolding is still working on one that would make him comfortable.
