St. Dom's Guard/Forward Is A Valuable Player

Scout.com's East Coast recruiting expert Mike Sullivan discusses another valuable player from St. Dominic's ...

The St. Dominic's basketball program has been a terrific team to watch under head coach Rob Pavinelli. The Oyster Bay school has a great reputation also for academics so a student/athlete can benefit greatly getting a degree and playing for Pavinelli.

The modest head coach had some words of praise recently for underrated swingman James Wilson, a 6-foot-3 valuable part of the St. Dominic's success over the past couple of years.

"He's a very underrated player who had a great summer both at camp and at IS8," Pavinelli stated.

The talented head coach is correct. Wilson was an outstanding player during the IS8 Fall League. He showed the ability to make an impact on both ends of the court.

"James has taken official visits to both St. Anselem's and Bentley College," said Pavinelli. "Both schools have offered full scholarships. He is also being recruited by Adelphi."

Wilson should make a solid player on the next level. But he has some intangibles working for him too off the court. "He is a terrific kid," Pavinelli said. "He can do it all on the court too."
