Right Level For Wings Guard Jamie Harris

Scout.com's East Coast expert Mike Sullivan takes a look at the game of Jamie Harris of Wings Academy ...

During the Fall IS8 League, there are players that shine and sparkle, yet don't have a big name. But over the past year, Jamie Harris, a 5-foot-9 lead guard from Wings Academy in the Bronx, has justified being considered among the best players in the New York area.

During the recruting campaign, several schools took a serious look at Harris. But Jamie, as reported by Scout.com's Brian Towey recently, choose Drexel. He had taken official visits to Drexel and Seton Hall.

Harris has the ability to see the floor well. He does a great job in getting his teammates involved in the offense. And he can score when he has his shot.

A left with the ability to drive past defenders, it has been reported that Harris could perhaps take a prep year. This would allow Harris to get stronger and continue the improvement in his individual game. But, as Harris pointed out at IS8, there is no set course right now.

Wings Academy is expected to play a very tough schedule and Harris will be needed to come close to the tremendous season they had last year. Wings finished the season 31-1. Jamie averaged seven points and six assists. More will be expected out of him this season.

This site will have several opportunities to watch Wings Academy this season and will start reporting on them next month.
