St. Mary's Point Guard Has New List

Scout.com's East Coast recruiting expert Mike Sullivan profiles the game of Scott Machado ...

Scott Machado, a 6-foot-1 lead guard from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York, continues to see some nice interest from division one schools, according to head coach Rob Jones.

"You can add Penn, Navy, Army, Elon, and Davidson to the list," Jones said.

Machado is a key player for the Gaels this season. In fact, Machado is probably slipping under the radar screen right now for some mid to low division one schools.

Jones has praised Machado's game over the past year. He believes that Scott's strength is a great asset and his ability to get to the rim makes him an attractive recruit.

"Scott is averaging 14 points, six assists and five rebounds," Jones said.

Jones has mentioned previous interest by Rutgers, George Mason, Yale, Stony Brook and Clemson in Machado's game.

Scott has two years to polish his game. He is a junior and a member of the 2008 class.
