Byron Freeman Has Expanded Interest

Scout.com's Mike Sullivan has the latest information on St. Mary's Byron Freeman ...

Byron Freeman, 6-foot-2 shooting guard from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York, continues to generate early division one interest in his skills, according to Gaels head coach Rob Jones.

"You can add Penn to his list," Jones said.

Jones has been very positive about Freeman's individual game. He believes the strong points of Freeman's game are his ability to shoot the jumper.

Freeman is a junior, a member of the 2008 class. So there is time for Freeman to improve his individual game.

Jones had previously stated that Yale, Memphis, Holy Cross, Indiana, St. John's, and Army had expressed some early interest. Remember, it is early interest. The level of interest will be determined over the winter and next spring and summer for Freeman.

We will keep you posted on how he competes this winter on this website.
