Walker Discusses His College Decision

Erving Walker, a 5-foot-7 guard from Christ The King High School in Middle Village, New York, made a verbal commitment to Florida, according to Walker.

The talented shooting guard gave us his thoughts about his decision to Florida: "I committed last night," Walker said. "Since probably early in the summer they had been recruiting me hard and we had developed a great relationship.

"I got to know Coach Donovan and Coach Jones. They are great people besides basketball coaches."

Walker added: "I got the official offer maybe a week ago. But we all knew what the deal was for a while."

Erving is a 2008 prospect and a terrific perimeter player. Walker spoke about what the Florida coaches liked about him.

"The coaches liked my overall knowledge of the game," Walker said. "My offensive game, the ability to shoot the three-pointer, being to being able to score when needed. And just me as an overall individual."
