Pearson Ready To Attract D-1 Attention

Scout.com's Mike Sullivan says Ryan Pearson has the ability to be an effective division one player ...

Over the past few weeks, Christ The King High School in Middle Village, New York has engaged in playing some top national teams at tournaments. The Royals also staged an incredible comeback against Lincoln High School of Brooklyn, New York a few weeks back at the Big Apple Classic.

So it's not surprising to know that many of the players on its roster are division one prospects. Recently, Erving Walker, the talented shooting guard, selected Florida while Royals point guard Malik Boothe chose St. John's.

Keep an eye on smooth sailing swingman Ryan Pearson, 6-foot-4. Pearson, a lefty with the ability to get to the rim with his dribble, is likely to be an important factor for the Royals drive for a CHSAA title.

Head coach Bob Oliva has many weapons to choose from and Pearson should be on this list. Only a member of the 2008 class, Ryan has plenty of time and opportunities to showcase his individual skills for CTK.

Christ The King plays for a major high school program with an outstanding schedule. But Pearson is worth a look by division one basketball programs.
