Local Schools Look At Player From ND Prep

Reporter Mike Sullivan had a chance to watch a very talented Notre Dame Prep squad ...

Notre Dame Prep head coach Bill Barton does have one tough problem to deal with despite having a tremendous amount of talent on his roster. The problem? Finding playing time for many future division one players.

There's only five spots on the floor and 40 minutes of game time for Barton to work with when trying to distribute the playing time. "It can be tough but you always try to reward the players that are working hard all the time, including in practices," he said.

Barton said he thinks many of his players have a chance to play division one basketball on the college level. He includes the name Sedale Jones on this list. Jones is a 6-foot-4 forward/guard from Pittsfield, Maine.

"He's got some division one interest," Barton said. "Long Island University, Central Connecticut, even Massachusetts and some interest from Seton Hall."

It's a long year and Barton's team challenges the best teams across the country. So there's ample time for the post-graduate to impress some division one programs.
