Marcos Tamares, 6-foot-6 1/2 forward from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York, has seen his recruiting process intensify, according to Gaels head coach Rob Jones.

"Marcos now has Boston University involved in his recruiting process," Jones said. "Coach Vandross called about him two days ago in reference to his stellar play at the Bay Ball Classic in Delaware."

Jones is referencing Tamares solid tournament. "Marcos made the all tournament team," said the proud coach. "Marcos is currently averaging 15.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks (per game)."

And Tamares has taken some visits and is also planning some future trips. "He recently vistied Army unofficially for the Army-Navy game," Jones said. "He is also scheduled to visit Navy for the Navy-Army rubber match game (basketball)."

It won't be the only trip Marcos will take. "He is also scheduled to visit Towson University (in Maryland) on February 24th for an unofficial (trip)," Jones added.

Jones previously stated that Yale was also involved in his recruiting process while Dartmouth, Binghamton, and Norfolk State had faded a bit.

Marcos is a terrific student too. He is close to a 1000 on his SAT.
