A Look At The Game Of 2008 Hoops Prospect

Reporter Mike Sullivan examines the game of Reggie Davis of Xaverian High School ...

PROFILE: Reggie Davis

HIGH SCHOOL: Xaverian High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.

SOME FAMOUS ALUMNI OF XAVERIAN: Levance Fields, Chris Taft, Chris Mullin

HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACH: Jack Alesi

AAU TEAM: Team Odom

AAU HEAD COACH: Artie Cox

HEIGHT: 6-foot-4

WEIGHT: 180-pounds

POSITION: Small Forward/Power Forward

MIKE SULLIVAN'S VIEW: Davis has always impressed as a player who can score when given an opportunity. Xaverian is certainly a very talented team with many scoring options. It's up to Reggie to keep himself active and available to the ball on the offensive side.

Reggie is a member of the 2008 class so there's ample time for Davis to improve all parts of his individual game. Davis, like most high school players, will need to improve the level of consistency in his mid-range game. If he can accomplish this and improve in this area, Davis is an attractive recruit for a division one program.

CONCLUSION: Xaverian High School plays against terrific competition every week. So college coaches watching Davis over the next two years have a good idea in how high a level he should be recruited at. It's up to Davis to convince them.
