It's likely to be a big inside the paint battle with St. Dominic forward Markeys Deans. Each of these high schools has had very successful seasons.
St. Mary's head coach Robert Jones previously stated he was a little surprised more schools weren't coming aboard to recruit Marcos. But there is still time for coaches to evaluate Tamares before the signing period begins next month.
Tamares is currently averaging 15 points and nine rebounds per game and a little under three blocks per contest. "(He can) can go both inside and outside," said Jones. (He's) a late-bloomer and steal for some college."
Jones also stated that his senior had some division one and division two interest. Some of the other schools that have expressed interest -- "Navy, Army, Dartmouth, Kentucky State, Towson, Boston University, Briarcliffe," said Jones.
Jones previously mentioned interest from Yale, Dartmouth, Binghamton, and Norfolk State.
