Bryant was brilliant in helping the St. Raymond's team make a terrific recovery in the second half to defeat Holy Cross High School in a CHSAA intersectional semifinal game held inside Carnesecca Arena on the campus of St. John's University.
Darryl scored 23 points in helping St. Raymond's upend the Knights, 79-78. Bryant showed he has the ability to deliver points from the perimeter and also around the basket. He scored five of his six baskets from either behind the three-point line or from medium range.
Bryant was a big reason why St. Raymond's advanced to the final this Sunday at Fordham University. The Ravens will play Christ The King High School Sunday afternoon inside the Rose Hill gym.
Expect Bryant to be a big factor again. He is a solid, steady player who can dent a zone with his perimeter game. The 2008 prospect is likely to be a player college coaches will watch quite a bit over the spring and the summer.
And he is a player that should be looked at by all levels of division one programs. Bryant has a chance to be a terrific college player.
