Final Look: New Yorker Michael Glover

Reporter Mike Sullivan examines the individual game of Michael Glover ...

Over the past few years, this website has covered New Yorker Michael Glover extensively -- both on the high school/prep level and in the terrific battles waged inside the tiny gym at IS8 in South Jamaica, New York.

A perfect word to describe Glover's personality would be "warrior." Glover, a 6-foot-5 inside forward from American Christian School in Pennsylvania, recently showcased his persistence when he competed against Our Savior New American in Centereach, New York.

Glover didn't back away at any time and competed with quality minutes against Pioneer forwards John Riek (over seven feet) and Teeng Akol (6-foot-10). Glover scored 33 points that night. But so many times during his career, the reporters from this website had seen that situation develop for Glover.

Glover's personality features intensity while his body claims a big heart, and the willingness to challenge much bigger bodies for possession of the basketball, especially around the basket.

Michael will make a fine college player. He will have his doubters for sure due to his size. Many will claim he is undersized, especially in winning the individual battles inside against Big East opponents.

But we have seen Glover take on all levels of high school talent. He seems to fare pretty well against every level.

It will be no surprise when Glover becomes an impact player on the college level.
