Offers Already On Table For Upstate Sophomore

It's certainly early in the recruiting process for Jordan Stevens, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound shooting guard from Saratoga Springs High School in Saratoga, New York.

After all, Stevens is a 2009 prospect. But that hasn't stopped some division one programs to express serious interest, according to Albany City Rocks program director Jim Hart.

"Rutgers and Albany have offered a scholarship," Hart said. "And there is high interest from Fordham, St. Bonaventure, and Rhode Island. But it's early for him since he is just a sophomore."

Stevens, who possesses a sweet stroke and also has some decent athletic ability, is a player that Hart feels will continue to be a big part of his Albany City Rocks program.

Hart previously praised Steven's court awareness and basketball IQ. "He really understands the game of basketball," Hart said.

Previously, Hart also mentioned that Siena, Marist, Seton Hall, Syracuse, and Georgia Tech had expressed some interest in following Stevens' recruiting status.

If Stevens has a big summer, it's likely the list will grow. And this won't surprise Hart. "He's going to have more interest as other schools watch him this summer," Hart said.
