Everything Is Fine For Talented CTK Guard

Reporter Mike Sullivan has story on Erving Walker ...

With the return of Billy Donovan to Florida, talented guard Erving Walker can rest easy and have a stress free summer. Walker of Christ The King High School in Middle Village, New York was like most onlookers, watching intently to see what was going to happe with the Florida basketball program.

It had been inaccurately reported by another site not on Scout.com's network that Walker opened up his recruiting process when Donovan appeared headed to coach the Orlando Magic. This was never true. Walker had told us at IS8 he was taking a wait and see approach and wanted to talk to the new head coach at Florida before opening up his process.

"Everything's the same," said Christ The King head coach Bob Oliva. "Nothing's changed for Erving."

Walker, a current junior and member of the 2008 class, had given the Gators an early verbal commitment. Walker has a beautiful stroke from the perimeter. What was even more impressive recently is his ability to run an offense from the lead guard position.

It's a summer that Walker should thrive in as he should have ample opportunity to show he can play either guard position effectively.
