Talented Forward Will Take School Visits

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a story on Lance Goulbourne ...

Lance Goulbourne, a 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward from the Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey, said last night that he is currently leaning to Vanderbilt. "I like the way the campus looks," Goulbourne said. "I also like their style of play. And they have a great business school."

Goulbourne, an excellent student, hopes to someday either run his business or be involved in investment banking. "Academics are very important in making a college decision," he said.

Despite Lance saying he has a leader in his recruiting process, this race isn't over by a long shot. "The earliest I could make my decision is August and the latest I would make it is in October," he said.

Goulbourne, a Brooklyn native, initially came from The Dwight School in New York, New York. He is also considering more visits. "I am going to take a visit to Rutgers on Thursday," he said. "I will probably take a flight to Northwestern too and try to see West Virginia."

Some ACC schools are also showing interest in Lance's skills. "Wake Forest, Florida State and Virginia recently has shown some interest," he said. "I like to see Virginia and Wake Forest if possible."

St. Joe's, Miami, and Seton Hall were also mentioned as possibilities.
