Long Island Forward Yet To Make Decision

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a story on Markeys Deans of St. Dominic ...

Markeys Deans, a solid 6-foot-5 forward from St. Dominic High School in Oyster Bay, New York, has still yet to make a decision in his recruiting process, according to Bayhawks head coach Rob Pavinelli.

Markeys was very impressive to us during the terrific play run by St. Dominic in March. Deans also was solid in the many games he played at IS8 during last Fall's competition.

Markeys Deans was a vital player for Rob Pavinelli over the past couple of seasons. He was a big reason why the Bayhawks were always competitive. Pavinelli's program always plays a very tough schedule and Markeys seemed to play well against any type of competition.

Markeys showed us this past season that his offensive game became more flexible. During the several games the reporters from this website watched him in person, he demonstrated the ability to use his handle to shake a man for a drive to the basket.

"We're just waiting on a few things," Pavinelli said. "Then maybe Markeys Deans will be able to make a decision."

Markeys Deans certainly has the ability to play division one basketball. And he came from a fine program too.

Deans has also had some nice games at Fordham too.
