Reporter Mike Sullivan has story of scoring guard Geraldo Suero ...

In today's game of basketball, teams need players that can produce points from anywhere on the court. Our Savior New American (Centereach, New York) scoring guard Gerardo Suero is one of these players. He will be a big reason why OSNA should have a big season next year.

Suero, 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds, has consistently showed the ability to score and score against some top competition. A native of the Dominican Republic, Suero is open in his recruiting process, according to staff members at OSNA.

But sources close to the basketball program located on Long Island, have already indicated that St. John's and Pittsburgh have expressed early interest in his skills. Suero is likely to be looked at by several high division one programs.

If he adds some strength to his frame, it will make him an even more effective player scoring around the basket. Suero has a soft floater on his drives that seems to find the net quite often. He uses the backboard to his advantage as well when he takes angle shots.

Suero is also open in his recruiting process. How he performs in the July evaluation period with the New York Elite will determine the level of interest this Fall.
