Bishop Ford Guard Chooses A School

Reporter Mike Sullivan has story on Chaz Williams' commitment ...

Hofstra has landed another quality guard from the New York City area. Chaz Williams, a 2009 prospect from Bishop Ford High School in Brooklyn, New York, made an early verbal commitment to the Hofstra basketball program, according to the coaching staff at Bishop Ford.

As a freshman two seasons ago, Chaz averaged 18 points and 12 assists. Williams also was solid as a sophomore this season. He was very impressive ironically against Carey High School in the Hope Through Hoops event held on the campus of Hofstra University. He scored 18 points and showed the ability to score from several areas on the court.

The 5-8, 145-pound guard demonstrated he has the zip in his step to get into the lane and create offensive opportunities for himself and his teammates. We'll have more on Williams and his commitment in the next 24 hours on this site. Chaz was certainly a player we enjoyed watching season while playing for Bishop Ford.
