Lewis, who impressed us a couple of times this past season, finished up his senior year at Bishop Ford. "He is supposed to redshirt at first," said Bishop Ford head coach John Infortunio. "But Eion is a very versatile player and should have a great college career."
His commitment to St. Francis is one of two that Nash received from the roster of Bishop Ford. Nash also landed 6-foot-7 forward Quran Davis.
"Eion is very tough to defend because he is so versatile," Infortunio said. "He probably played every position for us because he is so capable."
Lewis also had some interest from Albany. "He did everything for us this past season," Infortunio stated. "He rebounded, made shots for us around the basket, and was great defensively. He blocked a lot of shots for us too." Infortunio also said Bishop Ford will miss Lewis' individual game. "He's tough to replace," the head coach said. "He made an impact for us on both ends of the court."
