All Hallows Big Man Worth Watching In July

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a story on Devon Collier of All Hallows High School ...

The coaching staff at All Hallows High School is very excited about its future. They should be. The roster is stacked with several high quality sophomores, including 6-foot-7, 215-pound Devon Collier.

While competing in the recent Super Hoop Jam Fest held inside the gym at Holy Cross High School in Flushing, New York, Collier displayed some solid basketball skills.

With many coaching staffs on hand to watch him play, including Georgia Tech head coach Paul Hewitt and St. John's head coach Norm Roberts, Collier was impressive in helping All Hallows carve out a 44-38 win over St. Francis Prep. Each 20 minute half featured running time until the final minute of play.

Collier showed he could be nimble around the basket, block shots, be a solid high low passer offensively, and display enough confidence to make a move near the basket.

Devon finished the game with 10 points and eight rebounds in the victory.

Collier is certainly a player to keep an eye on over the next season. Apparently, word is starting to leak out about his individual game. And there were plenty of college coaches that were impressed with his game that he showed at Holy Cross High School.
