Walker Shows His Guard Skills At Holy Cross

Erving Walker is rounding out his game this summer at the lead guard position ...

There's no question that Erving Walker has the ability to drain NBA-range jumpers from anywhere on the court. He is perhaps the best long-range shooter on the high school level.

Walker, a guard from Christ The King High School in Middle Village, New York, helped the Royals to a victory yesterday afternoon against Mount Saint Michael, 42-27, at the Super Hoop Jam Fest held inside the gym at Holy Cross High School in Flushing, New York.

Walker was very smart in running the Royals offense. He buried three of his own jumpers from beyond the three-point line. But the impressive part of Erving's individual game is that he has continued solid progress in his ability to run the offense.

Erving had several drives to the basket and pretty passes to open teammates. Sometimes his teammates finished, sometimes they didn't. But this is what the summer is for and Walker is taking full advantage of the opportunity to run the show from the point.

Walker expects to play in Las Vegas as well. He also is looking forward to playing college basketball for Billy Donovan's Florida Gators program.

Besides Walker's performance, CTK got nine points from Ryan Pearson. Justin Daniels had seven points for Mount Saint Michael's.
