"Trinity knows what he has to do to be even better. If he works had enough to make those improvements, he can play in the Big East Conference."
Fields knows too. He repeatedly told us this summer and more recently in Florida when he was competing for Bob Rizzo's Westcester Hawks AAU program that he wants to strengthen his shoulders and arms. The reason? To add more consistency to finishing around the basket.
Fields, 6-foot-1 and 170 Pounds, was a big reason why the Westchester Hawks landed in the 17 and under Super Showcase and also achieved a spot in the final of the National AAU tournament inside the Milk House at the Wide World of Sports complex.
Trinity is a rising senior too. "It's a big year for him," Naclerio said. "If he works hard and has a good year who knows what can happen?"
Trinity doesn't need to play in the Big East to be recognized as a solid player too. The schools listed above are all quality basketball programs that have generated NCAA tournament appearances many times over the past couple of decades.
So Fields is in a great position. He had a solid summer and will continue to receive more exposure playing at Cardozo High School. He will have an opportunity to play division one basketball somewhere.
