Michael Goodman, a 6-foot-6 and 225-pound forward from Christian Brothers Acdaemy in upstate New York, took the summer off from AAU play, according to Albany City Rocks program director Jim Hart.

"He decided to stay back and rest and work out back home," said Hart. "He's getting himself ready to have a big junior year."

Hart has been very positive and sure that Goodman will eventually land at a high division one program.

"Georgia Tech has called, Miami has called, Providence is interested, Bowling Green from the Midwest has been expressing interest in Michael and Syracuse of course has been monitoring his progress," Hart said.

Hart also said Goodman participated at the Syracuse Elite camp. "He has high major skills," Hart said. "He has the ability to help you several ways in winning a basketball game. He can score and rebound and defend."

Hart added: "Michael should have a big year. If he does he will have a lot of big name schools recruiting him over the next year."
