Hart: Will Regan Can Be High D-1 Player

Reporter Mike Sullivan has story about Will Regan who was praised by Albany City Rocks AAU program director Jim Hart ...

Albany City Rocks director Jim Hart has seen a lot of talented players come through his program over the past couple of decades. So when he praises a player of being division one worthy, one must listen to his accessment.

Hart recently spoke to us about the quality prospect Will Regan, a 6-foot-8, 213-pound forward from Nichols High School in Buffalo, New York. Will will be a sophomore this season at Nichols High School and has competed in the past for Hart's highly regarded Albany City Rocks AAU program.

"He is going to the Arizona Elite camp this week," Hart said. "Arizona is interested in him. But there are many other schools already recruiting him."

Among the schools Hart mentioned were Syracuse, Ohio State, Virginia, St. John's, and Stanford. "He scored 28 points and had 14 rebounds in the recent Empire States Bronze Medal game," Hart said. "So he had a very good summer."

Hart added: "It's early in his recruiting process. But schools are seeing that Will has the ability to be a really good player on the division one level. He has some more time to improve his game and he works hard. He can score and rebound and has good size."
