Mount Vernon Forward Sets Up In Home Visits

Kevin Jones, a 6-foot-7 forward from Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, New York, said he is in the process of setting up several visits. Jones spoke to us at the Mobile Elite 24 media day, an all star game that will be held tonight at Rucker Park (start time is 8 p.m.)

"West Virginia is coming in first," Jones said. "Then there are several schools that are supposed to drop by and visit."

His brother Gerard has been helping out arranging the in home visits. Gerard was also at the event held at Columbia University yesterday.

"West Virginia is scheduled for September 9th," Gerard said. "Then we are trying to arrange in home visits with UMASS, Virginia, Rutgers, St. John's, Seton Hall, Georgetown, Kansas, Ohio State, Kentucky and Indiana."

There is no one school that stands out to Kevin in this recruiting process. "They are all even now," he said. "I just want to see what they have to say."

Then after the in home visits are done, it's likely that Kevin will sit down with his family and forge a workable list. "I would like to use my visits before I make a decision," he said.
