"He had a great summer and really improved his game," Jaklitsch said. "His shot from the perimeter is better."
Leek has already impressed us. He was outstanding at the Eastern Invitional camp held in Trenton, New Jersey during the July evaluation period. Leek is a 2009 prospect.
Leek doesn't turn 16 until this November too, giving him ample opportunity to improve his game before he plays on the division one college level.
Syracuse, Pittsburgh, St. John's, DePaul, and Georgetown have been mentioned as schools showing recruiting interest at this stage of the process. It is early though since Leek is a rising junior. School starts after Labor Day here in the New York area.
Leek, a lefty with bounce in his legs, also competes with the New York Elite AAU program. The Elite, coached by Chris Phillips and Eric Jaklitsch, features now some of the top talent from the New York/Long Island/New Jersey area.
