Cardozo Point Guard Setting Up Visits

Reporter Mike Sullivan has the story on Trinity Fields of Cardozo High School ...

Trinity Fields, an improving lead guard from Cardozo High School in Bayside, New York, said he is in the process of setting up campus visits. The 2008 prospect had some terrific games this past July playing for the Westchester Hawks at the 17 and under Super Showcase inside the Milk House on the grounds of Disney World.

Trinity stated: "I plan on visiting Providence the weekend of September 20th. I also plan on officially visiting George Mason sometime in October. It's likely to happen during the first few days of that month."

Fields has also listed Virginia Tech as a school of interest. But there are some new schools that are recruiting him too.

"I have two new schools that have contacted me," Fields said. "I have heard from Maryland and Boston College. I think some of these schools were recruiting Mookie (Jones) and they liked the way I played."

There was a lot to like about Fields' AAU play this past July. He also recently competed for the New York Elite and had a solid game against Kemba Walker and the New York City Gauchos. However, the Elite lost in double overtime. "We should have won that game," Fields said. "We had our chances."

Trinity is likely to compete in the IS8 Fall League. "I have to decide what team I am going to play for," he said. "Hopefully I will know in the next week."
