NJ Guard Has New List Of Schools

Reporter Mike Sullivan has story on Scott Machado who has found a new home in New Jersey ...

Scott Machado, a solid point guard from St. Benedict's High School in Newark, New Jersey, is a player to watch this upcoming season.

Machado, who previously was a solid floor general for St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York, had a rock solid summer that should interest some division one programs in his skill level.

Scott's family moved to North Carolina. So Machado decided to stay in the tri-state area and play at St. Benedict's. "So far it's gone pretty good," he said.

Previously, Machado had mentioned interest in Quinnipiac, Norfolk State, Siena, Marist, Central Connecticut, and Iona.

"I am still open in my recruiting," Machado said last night via a telephone interview. "I don't have a leader. But I have heard from recently South Florida and UNC-Charlotte."
