Panthers Big Man Has Top Five List

Reporter Brian Towey has the story from IS8 on Terrence Jennings ...

After much speculation, Terrence Jennings has landed. The California native and one-time Maryland commit confirmed on Saturday that he is no longer at Mount Zion Academy, and is indeed enrolled at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass.

"I'm at Notre Dame right now," said Jennings at the IS8 League in New York City, where he was playing with the New York Panthers. "I've been there about a week."

Jennings was vague about his reasons for leaving Mount Zion, but felt that a change was necessary.

"My father and I sat down," said Jennings. "We figured out that (Notre Dame) was the right school for me at this time."

An athletic, lengthy post who changes ends well and brings a presence defensively, Jennings had made a verbal commitment to Maryland on Aug. 1. He produced a new list of schools on Saturday, and it does not include the ACC program.

"My top five are Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Miami, and UConn," said Jennings. That's it right now."

At the moment, Jennings does not have any visits lined up.

"We're going to figure out (the visits) on Monday," said Jennings. "I'm really not sure where I'm going to visit first."
