Visit Planned For Christ The King Senior

A report on the recruiting status of CTK senior Ryan Pearson ...

Christ The King head coach Bob Oliva has done a tremendous job over the past couple of decades in producing some of the finest talent not only in the New York City area but nationally as the boss of the Royals basketball program.

So it's no surprise that senior Erving Walker is committed to Florida while talented forward Ryan Pearson is busy arranging official visits.

Pearson, 6-foot-6, is expected to visit George Mason this weekend for the Midnight Madness celebration. He is a lefty who has the uncanny skill of slipping through multiple defenders for drives to the rim.

Pearson has also competed for Artie Cox's Team Odom AAU program in the Fall IS8 League. He has been working on his perimeter game to make himself more diversified in his offensive game.

Besides George Mason, Pearson has mentioned interest in Massachusetts, Manhattan, Iona, and Stony Brook.

Below is an evaluation of Ryan Pearson's game by Frank Mantesta:

Ryan's strengths are his mid-range game. He is a great passer. He has good handle for his size and good rotation on shot.

The areas he needs to improve is he could add some more strength to his game which would help him to score more consistently around the basket.
