GERARDO SUERO'S STRENGTHS IN HIS INDIVIDUAL GAME: Gerardo knows the strengths to his game -- take the ball to the basket and create scoring opportunities. Suero has the ability to score on floaters above big man's hands. He has a knack for scoring these points in bunches too.

As he becomes stronger, Suero will also be able to finish more consistently around the basket. He has a lot of pure basketball talent. He's been in the USA for only a year so he has some time also to become more familiar to the style of player here.

In other words, this 2008 recruit is worth watching this season. He is certainly a division one player. How high he goes depends upon the progress he makes this season.

A native of the Dominican Republic, Suero will get plenty of exposure playing for Our Savior New American. OSNA doesn't back down from a challenge and they try to play in the best tournaments. Suero should benefit from this schedule.

COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES OF INTEREST: St. John's, Syracuse, Pittsburgh were the schools mentioned by OSNA assistant coach Eric Jaklitsch. "Pittsburgh was in to see him this year already," Jaklitsch said.
