NYC Forward Is A Key For Knights' Success

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a story on Keyvan Roberts ...

Yes, Sylven Landesberg is the key player for Holy Cross this season. But a player like Keyvan Roberts will help determine how far Paul Gilvary's basketball program go in the playoffs.

Roberts, a versatile 6-foot-3, 180-pound shooting guard/small forward, is a member of the 2008 class (a current senior). He does several things well on the court which is why some division one schools are keeping an eye on him this season.

Keyvan Roberts is a solid athlete who has the ability to produce points but on his way to the basket and from the perimeter. As his ability to put the ball down on the floor improves, he should become a more consistent scorer.

Roberts, who competed in the IS8 Fall League, has mentioned interest in Quinnipiac, Manhattna, and Stony Brook.

Reporters Mike Sullivan and Frank Mantesta watched Roberts compete recently at IS8. Here is an evaluation report of the Holy Cross senior:

Keyvan has made some solid improvements in his individual game. He is a good athlete who has some decent upside to his game. And he is a defender who keeps himself aware of helping out teammates on the weak side. In other words, he has a good basketball IQ.
