Our Savior New American Guard Recovers

Reporter Mike Sullivan has the story on OSNA guard Chris Hampton ...

The flu or stomach bug has been biting quite a few people in the area lately. So it wasn't surprising when Our Savior New American assistant coach Eric Jaklitsch told us that sophomore guard Chris Hampton had taken ill.

With Gerardo Suero trying to make visa adjustments, this didn't help the Pioneers in the backcourt. Suero should be back with OSNA in the next couple of weeks.

Hampton, a former Cardozo guard, goes about 6-feet. He is making adjustments to transferring from the Bayside, Queens High School to Our Savior New American in Centereach, New York.

Hampton, a 2010 recruit, does get some minutes off the bench for the Pioneers. Now it's up to him to make the most of them.

Chris has three full seasons to improve his individual game. Now that he is recovered from the sickness, Chris needs to step up his game and start producing on a more consistent level. As he becomes familiar with his new teammates, expect Hampton to start scoring with more efficiency. This should help the Pioneers in the last two months of the season.
