Fordham Recruit Having Solid Season In NJ

Mike Sullivan takes a look at the skills of Alberto Estwick ...

Alberto Estwick's senior season will end over the next two months. But it's obvious after receiving great coaching from Bobby Hurley, Sr. at St. Anthony's High School, that his prospect is ready to help the Rams out right away.

Estwick, a 6-foot-4 guard from Friars basketball program in Jersey City, New Jersey, has also played AAU ball for Jimmy Salmon's basketball program and for Rob Rizzo and the Westchester Hawks AAU program.

Rizzo is currently an assistant coach at St. Anthony's. Last night, Estwick was his usual solid self, cashing in on 10 points, including two three-pointers.

Hurley Sr. is a tremendous game coach and teacher of fundamentals. The Rams will get a terrific college prospect. Alberto has the ability to cover many opponents, no matter the size of the player. He is a valuable player at both ends of the court.

Estwick fits so well into Hurley's coaching philosophy and his demanding style of teaching. Alberto may not do a lot of eye-opening statistical numbers due to a very balanced St. Anthony's team, but he is one team member that certainly contributes every night to their victories.

Conclusion: Kudos to the Fordham basketball staff for nailing down this commitment.
