Holy Cross Guard Has Several Offers Now

Reporter Frank Mantesta discusses the game of Blaise Ffrench ...

It has come full circle for Holy Cross point guard Blaise Ffrench as most recently UTEP has offered him a college scholarship top play basketball on the division one level. What an amazing journey for Ffrench who has a terrific senior campaign for Paul Gilvary's Knights in the country's toughest league -- the New York City Catholic League.

Previously, Blaise went to see the Conference USA tournament game the Miners of UTEP competge in and he described the atmosphere as exciting. the offer was then made.

He also mentions serious interest in Manhattan, Quinnipiac, Central Conectticut State, Stony Brook, and Long Island University. Akron has also shown interest. Ffrench emerged as one of the area's best guards after learning how to play this difficult position -- lead guard in a very competitive boy's basketball league.

Signs of him becoming a quality guard started Christmas time in Florida. Not only was this the move for the program but also the move to get Blaise to the next level.

Holy Cross knew they struck gold when Blaise matched up against Larry Drew {NORTH CAROLINA RECRUIT}. Blaise not only ran the offense, but he was all over Drew hounding him defensively.

Blaise's hard work has paid off for him this season and his improved play helped the Knights land a few titles along the way.
