Jeriel Henriquez, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, New York (located on Long Island), is still weighing prep school options.

According to his High School coach, Brian Carey, Jeriel‘s family hs spoken to school officials with New Hampton Prep school in New Hampshire.

They want to make sure that Jeriel gets the attention towards school work that he needs when he chooses his prep school, according to Carey. Coach Carey said that this past year Jeriel had his best academic year in high school. However, he still has work to do with his SAT.

Jeriel had interest all year from Hofstra and also Fordham. He led his team in scoring and was the key to a very successful season. Lutheran played a very tough schedule and Jeriel excelled.

Rutgers , St John's, and Seton Hall showed serious interest later in the season, especially after he had some impressive performances, including a big time effort against all St. Anthony's High School of Jersey City, New Jersey.

Jeriel is a flat out scorer and possesses a deadly jumper behind the arc. He also has a great mid range game.
