Rice Senior Expected To Take Visit To Marist

Reporter Frank Mantesta has an update on Dorvell Carter ...

New Marist head coach has been busy since being named head man. He was a at Baruch College for the scholarship games recently. Perhaps that trip might pay off as soon as this Thursday.

Dorvell Carter, the 6-foot-6, 182-pound swingman from Rice High School in New York City, will visit Marist on Thursday.

Dorvell told us "as long as things go well he will probably sign to play for Coach Chuck Martin at Marist."

Dorvell is qualified academically and physically ready to play in the MAAC. He will be a tough match–up for the opposing teams. Dorvell as the ability to hit the three or slither is way to score around the basket. He is wiry and long. He needs to get a little stronger and more aggressive.

St Francis, Albany, Stony Brook, LIU, Quinnipiac, Manhattan, Robert Morris, and Iona all have had interest in Dorvell.

He has had nice things to say about all of these programs in the past and still is interested in them. But right now his mind is on a important visit to Marist.
