SOUTH JAMAICA, NEW YORK -- Fordham recruit Alberto Estwick scored 29 points and future college teammate Jio Fontan added 23 points to help the Playaz Senior team upend the Panthers Junior team in the IS9 spring league semifinals, 99-74.

Fontan and Estwick will play at Fordham next season and have been important members for Jimmy Salmon's AAU program over the past couple of seasons.

The Playaz Senior team will play tomorrow against defending champion Shooting Stars in a noon matchup at IS8.

The Playaz led 19-13 after the first eight minutes of play and increased the lead slightly to 39-31 at the half. However, a big third quarter by Rutgers recruit Mike Rosario helped the Playaz Club blow the game wide open. The Playaz Senior team led 72-41 heading into the final quarter.

Rosario scored 15 points in the quarter while Fontan and Estwick continued to hit driving layups against a weak Panthers' defense.

Rosario finished the game with 24 points, including four three-pointers. The McDonald's All American displayed also the ability to run the offense with very few mistakes.

Omari Lawrence led the Panthers Junior team with 28 points.
