Rosario, who helped the Playaz Club seniors team to a semifinal victory over the Panthers junior team, said after the game he's hoping the New Yorker joins him at Rutgers.
"I was there at Rutgers when he took his trip," he said. "We had a great time. I think he had a great time too. So I'm waiting."
Rosario, who competed this past season for Bob Hurley Sr and the St. Anthony's High Schol program in Jersey City, N.J., said he's tried his best to convince Devin to play for coach Fred Hill too.
"I've spoken to him and talked to him about how great it would be to play at Rutgers," Rosario said. "But when it comes down to it, it's up to him. I wish him the best of luck in making his decision."
Ebanks was not at IS8 yesterday. He normally plays for the Shooting Stars, a team that advanced to the final today against Rosario's Playaz seniors team. According to coaching staff members of the Shooting Stars, Ebanks is expected to play this afternoon.
"He's a great player," Rosario said. "It would be nice to play with him. But it's his decision."
Update: It's been reported, as expected, that Ebanks committed to West Virginia.
