"It went well," said Henriquez. "I enjoyed it. I like the coaching staff. It was a good environment."
Henriquez was joined by Connecticut transfer Curtis Kelly. Both players are alums of the illustrious New York Gauchos AAU program.
"I spent most of my time there with Curtis," said Henriquez. "He had a great time as well."
Henriquez felt a connection with coach Frank Martin.
"I especially like the idea of having an Hispanic coach," said Henriquez, whose parents are from Panama. "That's something I'm very comfortable with."
"RIght now prep school is what I'm considering," said Henriquez. "But if I do qualify and I do get the ACT score I'm going right to college."
A native of Baldwin, on Long Island, Henriquez attended Rice High School in Manhattan for his freshman and sophomore years. His family moved to Port Chester, in Westchester County, before his junior year, and he enrolled at Port Chester High School.
The trip may have bumped the Big 12 program to the top of Henriquez's list.
"After this visit, I really like Kansas State," said Henriquez. "I'm definitely leaning towards Kansas State right now. I feel comfortable there."
