Reporter Mike Sullivan has a free player profile update on Zack Rosen ...

HEIGHT: 6-foot-1

WEIGHT: 170 Pounds

POSITION: Point Guard

CLASS: 2008, a graduating senior

HIGH SCHOOL: St. Benedict's High School in Newark, New Jersey

AAU TEAM: New York Elite

NEW YORK ELITE COACHES: Eric Jaklitsch and Chris Phillips

NEW YORK ELITE HEAD COACH ERIC JAKLITSCH COMMENTS ON ZACK ROSEN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: "He is a fine point guard. He looks to set up his teammates first. He really knows how to play the game."

CONCLUSION: Zack Rosen was a fun player to watch. His decision making this past season, especially under Eric Jaklitsch and Chris Phillips with the New York Elite AAU program, was steep over the past couple of months.

Rosen is gritty and tough. He bounces off the floor no matter how hard he is hit by bigger bodies around the basket. It doesn't faze this solid lead guard. Rosen just keeps on attacking the basket.

His jumper has improved too. He should be an impact player at Pennsylvania since he has the ability to score in many different ways.

Zack was a big part of the Elite reaching the IS8 semifinals a week ago. His ability to distribute the ball and handle backcourt pressure gave the Elite a chance to win every playoff game.
