Brooklyn Big Man Getting Closer To Decision

Reporter Frank Mantesta has a story update on Kyrie Sutton ...

Kyrie Sutton, a 6-foot-9 big man from Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., has lived a lifetime it seems. He recovered from a ACL injury, went through rehab, and then had a very successful senior season.

The college coaches took notice of this post player. Kyrie also had to hit the books and that is why he is now ready to weigh his options and see where the best spot is for him.

A tremendous rebounder and shot blocker, Kyrie can also finish around the rim. He needs to work on his footwork and post moves but he has shown flashes of being capable of improving on his offensive game. By coming back from the injury, this shows he is a hard worker.

Coach Ruth Lovelace told us that he would visit St Peter's and then Fordham. A decision could be made after even one visit if he feels it is the right place. This could happen as early as next week.

Kyrie has told us in the past that he would like to visit College of Charleston but for right now, the trips will be local.

Boston College, Tulane, St. Bonaventure, Hofstra, LIU, Quinnipiac, South Carolina, and St. John's and have all been mentioned as possible stops for this ever improving player.
